Economy is measured between full tanks. The distance is the odometer difference, and the fuel is everything you added after the previous full tank up to and including the closing one — so partial fills are counted correctly. Your overall figure is total distance ÷ total fuel, not an average of averages.
Marking a fill as a full tank closes a measurement. Partial fills still count their fuel, they just don't end the measurement. If you forgot to log a fill, switch on "I missed logging a fill before this" so the gap doesn't distort your numbers.
Yes — and you can use both. Set an interval like every 5,000 miles, a date, or both, and the reminder is due at whichever comes first. Mileage reminders also estimate a date from how much you actually drive, so you get a notification instead of only an in-app badge.
Yes. Every fill-up and service record stays editable forever, and you can add records for dates in the past. Nothing is ever locked.
Use the ⋯ menu on a vehicle and choose Export CSV — that file is yours, and Import CSV brings it back (duplicates are skipped). Your log also travels to a new iPhone with your normal encrypted device backup.
Yes — the ⋯ menu has Service Report (PDF), which produces a dated maintenance history you can print or send to a buyer.
Units are locked once a vehicle has entries, because the stored readings are in those units — changing them would silently change what every number means. Set units when you add the vehicle.
